MANILA, Philippines — Far Eastern University tries to complete its unlikely title romp Sunday with coach Shaq delos Santos hoping his Lady Tamaraws will come out even more aggressive in their sweep bid of the National University Lady Bulldogs in the Shakey’s V-League Season 11 First Conference Finals at Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan.
“We want to finish it, but we know it won’t be easy,” said Delos Santos. “We have to work hard for it. We have to start the game playing with high intensity.”
The Lady Tamaraws, bracing for a fiery fightback from the defending champion Lady Bulldogs, shoot for a historic first crown in Game 2 of the best-of-three series at 2:45 p.m. “We still consider ourselves as the underdogs,” said Delos Santos.
The Lady Tamaraws, clearly toughened by their arduous path to the Finals, stunned the Lady Bulldogs in straight sets, 26-24, 26-24, 25-22, in Game 1 last Sunday.
