PARIS — Canada’s Eugenie Bouchard reached the French Open quarter-finals on Sunday with a quickfire 6-1, 6-2 thrashing of German eighth seed Angelique Kerber.

The youngest player left in the women’s draw at 20 years and 103 days, Bouchard showed no nerves in winning the first five games of the opening fourth round tie in just 19 minutes before Kerber managed to open her account.
