PH car racer shot dead in QC

MANILA, Philippines – A Filipino car racer was shot dead by still unidentified motorcycle riding-in-tandem in Quezon City Thursday night, police said.

Ferdinand “Enzo” Pastor, 32, was hit in the head 10:30 p.m. along Congressional Avenue corner Visayas Avenue, according to Investigator Alvin Quisumbing of the Quezon City Police District.

Quisumbing said Pastor was on board an Isuzu delivery van together with his companion Paolo Salazar.

He said Pastor died while being treated in the hospital while Salazar sustained wounds.

Investigators are still gathering leads on the identity of the assailants and their motive.

Pastor has joined international racing competitions.
