MANILA, Philippines—Two kids from the Milo Checkmate chess clinic will compete in the 42nd annual World Open slated July 2 to 6 at Hyatt Regency Crystal City in Arlington, Virginia.
The young Filipino entries are 14-year-old Jerome Gabriel Arellano of Sacred Heart Academy of Novaliches, Quezon City, and 15-year-old Jan Franchezka Dansalan of Divine Light Academy of Las Piñas City. They will be accompanied by delegation head Woman National Master Mila Emperado.
