Mia, Dottie sustain hot forms

Mia Piccio and Dottie Ardina sustained their fine forms Monday and cruised into the second round of the Women’s Trans Amateur Championship at The Country Club in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Piccio, who beat Ardina for low-medal honors in the 36-hole stroke play eliminations, thumped Hannah Collier, 4 and 3, while Ardina rolled past Samantha Postillion, 6 and 5, to lead the ICTSI-backed Filipinos’ campaign.

Lovelynn Guioguio routed Devon Brown, 4 and 2, but Cyna Rodriguez and Chihiro Ikeda, the Nos. 3 and 4 seeds, bowed out.

Rodriguez, the reigning RP Ladies Am champ, lost 3 and 1 to Sarah Faller while Ikeda bowed to Sofia Tocafondi by the same score.
