Shakey’s V-League leaders Army, PLDT clash
MANILA, Philippines — Former champion Army tests PLDT Home Telpad’s championship credentials when they collide Thursday in the Shakey’s V-League Season 11 Open Conference at Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan.
With their experienced and talented roster, the Lady Troopers are slight favorites in the 2 p.m. clash against the Turbo Boosters, who are coming off a victory over Philippine National Police last Tuesday.
The second match at 4 p.m. is equally interesting with defending champion Cagayan Valley seeking a second straight victory against powerhouse Air Force.

Cagayan won the title last year via a 16-game sweep. But the Lady Rising Suns face an uphill climb with a stronger field standing in the way, including the Air Force Raiders who are gunning for a fourth win in five outings.
Army’s star-studded roster is led by Rachel Ann Daquis and MJ Balse.
