Rico Hoey falls in quarterfinals

Jess Bonneau put an end to Fil-American Rico Hoey’s sterling run in the US Public Links Amateur Championship on Friday (Saturday in Manila) with a 5 and 3 quarterfinal round victory at Sand Creek Station in Newton, Kansas.

Doug Ghim and Byron Meth will be fighting it out for the title after outclassing separate foes in the semifinals.
