Ateneo-A, LSGH-A earn top QF seedings

Ateneo de Manila-A routed St. Paul Makati, 72-22, at Xavier School gym over the weekend to earn the No. 1 seeding in the Passerelle quarterfinals of the Best Center-organized SBP-Passerelle twin basketball tournament.

It was the Blue Eaglets’ fourth straight win in Group D. They will face Nazareth School, which clobbered Notre Dame, 77-28, in Group B.

San Beda Rizal topped Group B with three straight wins, the last at the expense of Lourdes School Mandaluyong, 64-42, and will face La Salle Green Hills-B in Sunday’s quarterfinals of the Milo-sponsored event.

Other quarterfinal matches pit Chiang Kai Shek College (3-0) versus Ateneo-B (3-1) and Adamson (2-1) against University of Santo Tomas

(4-0).

In the SBP Division, La Salle Green Hills-A ended its elimination round campaign with a 5-0 slate in Group A after trashing St. Mary’s College (0-6), 82-25.

Group B also saw host Xavier bagging its fifth straight triumph at the expense of Lourdes School Quezon City (0-4), 67-7.
