LGBA 7-Stag Derby champs known today

Fifty-seven participants dispute the title today in the Luzon Gamecock Breeders Association (LGBA) 7-Stag Derby series at Pasay City Cockpit.

Seeing action in the 4-stag finals featuring more than 100 fights sponsored by Sagupaan Complexor 3000 are 26 with three points each, 23 with 2.5 points and eight with 2 points with rescheduled fights.

Competition starts at 1 p.m.

Among the top contenders are Paolo Malvar, Honey Yu, Jun Sevilla, Willard Ty, Pido Jarencio, Boy Torres, Cito Alberto, Patrick Puno, Jay Nalupta, Jun Lipnica, Ogie Simon, Angelito dela Peña and Patrick Puno.

LGBA president Boyet Plaza said the derby series will stage its second leg on Sept. 15, 22 and 26.

Meanwhile, the Pasay cockpit is also gearing up for the Ama Scorpio Inc. Big Event 6-Stag Derby on Sept. 19 and UFCC 6-Stag Derby on Sept. 25.
