KEEN competition is expected when Wack Wack Golf and Country Club stages its President’s Cup tomorrow.
A field of 288 players will vie for top honors in various divisions of the annual tournament at the West course, according to club sports and games committee chair Sen. JV Ejercito.
The tournament is also held in conjunction with the 80th birthday celebration of Wack Wack president Benjamin Abalos.
The double shotgun start at 6:30 a.m. and 12 noon kicks off the tournament to be played under the Modified Double Peoria scoring system. Titles to be disputed are the Groups I, II and III and seniors for the men’s division, and Groups I and II for the ladies and guest categories.
Five grand prizes, 20 major items and a slew of minor items will be raffled off to members and the president’s guests.
Hole-in-one sponsors are CATS Motors, Toyota North Edsa, Ford Balintawak, Autohub Group and Texas Eagle Golf Cart.
Giselle Sanchez will host the awards rites.
