OLIVAREZ College wore down Philippine Nautical Technical College, 100-43, Thursday to firm up its hold on the lead in the 13th Universities and Colleges Athletic Association (Ucaa) basketball tournament at Olivarez College gymnasium in Sucat, Parañaque.
Francis Young topscored for the Sea Lions with 20 points while fellow rookie Pruvil Bermudez shot 12 and Jet Lasco added 11 as Olivarez posted its seventh win in eight games.
The Sea Lions moved two games ahead of Rizal Technological U, which picked up its fifth win in eight games at the expense of Philippine School of Business Administration, 91-82.
PSBA (4-4) won over Manuel L. Quezon University, 84-66, last Tuesday.
