Team Ducati amasses 11 Superbikes trophies

RANIEL Resuello and Team Ducati Philippines, led by riders from the Ducati-Bacchus, ATAT and Ducati-Access Plus racing teams, collected 11 trophies in the fifth and penultimate leg of the 2014 Pirelli Superbikes Championship Series held recently at Batangas Racing Circuit.

Resuello, a former  Superbike champion, clocked 1:38.278 to wound up second in the Superbikes Open.

Toti Alberto, TJ Alberto, Jericho Arnaiz and John Defensor accounted for six of the 11 trophies.

Alberto wound up fifth overall in the Superbikes Open as he again emerged Superbikes Masters champion.  Defensor was Masters runner-up.

Alberto’s 16-year-old son, TJ, likewise delivered two trophies—Superbikes Novice runner-up honors and Middle A plum in the Club R Superbikes Series.

Arnaiz took the Middle A runner-up trophy.

Jay Carrion placed third in the Superbikes Masters class while Lawrence Macalinao claimed third place honors in both Superbikes Novice and Heavy A division of the Club R Superbikes Series.

Jussi Hoikka copped the lone trophy for Ducati-Access Plus following his third place feat in the Superbikes Intermediate class.
