Milo’s messages of hope for Yolanda survivors

MANILA, Philippines – One year after Haiyan (local name Yolanda)—the biggest super typhoon recorded in human history—hit the Philippines, efforts to rehabilitate its worst-stricken areas in the country continue.

These efforts include not only the reconstruction of houses and buildings downed by the storm, but also the revival of every survivor who suffered and those still suffering from trauma caused by the disaster.

In the past months, the Filipino nation and the entire world became one in lending a helping hand to victims of the killer typhoon. Some help came in the form of financial or in kind donations, while some through service.

Today, an addition to these outreach programs is the #MessagesOfHope campaign spearheaded by Milo.

Since 2010, it has been a tradition for Milo to give running shoes to schoolchildren nationwide.

This year, this advocacy continues but this time, it comes with an extra meaningful goal. Apart from providing running shoes to the little champions of Tacloban, Milo is also sending messages of hope to the young souls, messages coming from their fellow Filipinos from different parts of the country.

By simply letting the little ones know that people are looking out and are cheering for them, Milo, together with every participant who will send a message of hope, aims to uplift these children’s spirits and restore them into the joyful hearts they once were.

Join Milo in helping these children make the next steps. You can still send them your #MessagesOfHope via facebook.com/MILO.ph or @MILOPH on Twitter.

Indeed, there’s no better gift to give our fellow Filipinos than the gift of hope in life. Share your #MessagesOfHope for the young ones. (advt)
