Alaska bounces back, nips Globalport

MANILA, Philippines — Alaska rebounded from its first loss with an 87-84 win over Globalport in the 2015 PBA Philippine Cup Saturday night at the Xavier University Gym in Cagayan de Oro.

Calvin Abueva scored 19 points while JVee Casio had 14 points for the Aces, who redeemed themselves after absorbing a shocking a seven-point setback at the hands of the Barako Bull Energy last Wednesday.

Alaska moved back atop the standings at 7-1 just a half-game ahead of idle San Miguel Beer.

Alex Cabagnot posted 15 points and grabbed a game-high 14 rebounds for the Batang Pier, who fell to 4-4. Terrence Romeo tallied 26 points on 12-of-19 shooting from the field.
