With thousands of fans milling around the Mall of Asia Arena for the International Premier Tennis League  Friday, a few brave souls said they really want to see Sharapova on the court.

And hear her signature growl.

“Of course I want to see Sharapova,” Ernie Lopez, head of ABS CBN Publishing said smiling. “Hey, I have to tell the truth.”

Lopez, who is a sports enthusiast himself, also expects good games from World No. 1, Novak Djokovic, defending US Champion Marin Cilic and Thomas Berdych.

A trio of friends, Tonyo Palado, Allen Pascual and Alex Vidal, echoed each other.

They want “MaSha.”

“We don’t play tennis, but we want to see Sharapova play,” Palado said in glee.
