MANILA, Philippines — Ray Parks fired a game-high 18 points and Hapee scored a hard-earned 84-63 win over MP Hotel in the 2015 PBA D-League Aspirants Cup Monday at the Marikina Sports Complex.
The league-leading Fresh Fighters banked on a big fourth quarter to upend the Warriors and nail their eighth win in as many outings.
“It’s hard to play against a team which is making shots,” said Hapee head coach Ronnie Magsanoc. “And we didn’t defend the way we’re supposed to. I thought Ray did another good job on both ends.”
Parks shot 5-of-8 from the field and also had six rebounds and two assists.
San Beda center Ola Adeogun had his imprints on Hapee’s strong finishing kick — scoring five of his team’s last 12 points.
Adeogun finished with 12 points, 14 rebounds and four blocks.
