Former PBA player Don Camaso scored nine of his team-high 27 points in the payoff period as Judiciary turned back the surprisingly stubborn National Housing Authority, 100-96, to stay unbeaten in the 3rd UNTV Cup held recently at University of Makati.
The 6-foot-6 Camaso joined hands with model-actor John Hall in a decisive 8-2 run early in the fourth period as Judiciary pulled in front to stay in the Group B encounter.
The win was the third straight for the Magis while the defeat was the third in as many games for the Builders in the tournament presented by UNTV through the initiative of multititled broadcaster Daniel S. Razon.
Ariel Capus, another former PBA player, fired 20 on 8-of-9 shooting from the field.
For the second time, Camaso finished in double-double as he grabbed 15 boards, 13 of them defensively. Hall shot 17 points and hauled down rebounds.
