Pacquiao dedicates Mayweather fight to fans, wants ‘glory’ for PH

MANILA, Philippines—There can never be anything like it and Manny Pacquiao is one excited fellow.

After years dragged on, countless barbs against each other and an unexpected meeting, the megafight between Filipino Pacquiao and undefeated American Floyd Mayweather Jr. is going to happen.

And Pacquiao knows what’s up and it’s on his Twitter page.

“I dedicate this fight to all the fans who willed this fight to happen,” Pacquiao said after he and Mayweather put their names on the dotted line for what could be the biggest ever fight in boxing.

“And as always to bring glory to the Philippines.”

Pacquiao and Mayweather got an intense rivalry for the label of “best pound-for-pound” that started as far back as 2011 when the two absolutely ruled over the competition but never came close to the steps leading to the boxing ring.

“I am very happy that Floyd and I can give the fans the fight they have wanted for so many years,” Pacquiao said on Twitter.
