(Editors’ note: This is the earlier story posted online which we are now correcting with the posting of a new story saying the statement shirt worn by Manny Pacquiao was Photoshopped.)
MANILA, Philippines — Manny Pacquiao is letting his shirt do the trash talking.
Pacquiao has started his US training in the comforts of the Wild Card Boxing Club, owned by his Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach, in Los Angeles for his scheduled May 2 showdown against Floyd Mayweather Jr.
Pacquiao was seen wearing a red tee with the iconic Pac-Man character gobbling up a dollar sign to training.
While Pacquiao has remained civil with Mayweather throughout the negotiations for the megafight, he couldn’t help but express what he intends to do with Mayweather —through a shirt, that is.
For those who are unaware, the Pac-Man is one of Pacquiao’s monickers while the dollar sign also means “money,” which refers to Mayweather.
Mayweather has never been one to keep silent, especially on special media, and it will be interesting to see what he would come up with as a counter to Pacquiao’s subtle jab.
