MANILA, Philippines — WBC middleweight champion Miguel Cotto, one of the several fighters who faced both Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao, refused to make any prediction on the showdown between his two former opponents.

The 34-year-old Cotto said he won’t see the two top pound-for-pound fighters slug it out at ringside on May 2 as he instead will be training for a targeted return in June against an opponent yet to be named.

“Both camps know what to do. We are going to see a great fight,” Cotto said in an interview with boxingscene.com. “[I won’t be at ringside], I’ll be training for my fight.”
