NBA: Clippers’ DeAndre Jordan commits crucial blunder, Chris Paul loses it

MANILA, Philippines—Whoever has the controller, please plug it back in. DeAndre Jordan just stopped moving.

With the score tied at 87 with 2.5 seconds left in the game, the Los Angeles Clippers and Portland Trailblazers were set for a potential nail-biting, buzzer-beating finish.

Chris Paul drove to the basket, but his layup bounced off the rim and fell directly to the palm of Jordan with 0.7 seconds left.

Jordan had enough time to put it back in but the Clippers’ center didn’t have the presence of mind to attempt a shot.

Los Angeles’ high-flying big man probably thought that the shot clock expired  but since the ball bounced off the rim, it was a legit offensive rebound.

Needless to say, Paul became livid as he yelled at Jordan to shoot and spewed other words not fit for publishing.

In a really bad case of luck, the Clippers lost to the Trailblazers, 98-93, in overtime.

Portland better thank a Jordan for that.
