“Actually the Racal Group is still in the D-League this season, but we will be carrying the name Keramix Mixers,” said Mixers head coach Caloy Garcia, who also mentored Racal Motors in the D-League last season. Caloy is also Rain or Shine assistant coach in the PBA.
“Racal Motor had a disastrous performance in the Aspirants Cup, that’s why we decided to carry the name Keramix Mixers. We will have a team in the D-League and the FBA,” Caloy explained, adding that the name change goes with a massive team buildup.
“Aside from holdovers Ford Ruaya and Jeff Viernes, we’ve added former St. Benilde standouts Robert Bartolo and Luis Sinco, and Arellano point guard Jiovanni Jalalon.
With the buildup, Caloy hopes to advance to the quarterfinals in this year’s Foundation Cup.
“I’m certain the team will create a big impact on the league,” said Jojo Racal, president of the Racal Group of Companies.
