Legends Robert Jaworski, Manny Pacquiao meet in Los Angeles

MANILA, Philippines — From one legend to another.

Philippine basketball icon Robert Jaworski reportedly paid boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao a visit at his home in Los Angeles.

Aside from arguably being two of the most famous sports personalities in the country, Jaworski and Pacquiao share other similarities.

Both served the country as politicians with Jaworski being a former Senator and Pacquiao a Congressman in Sarangani.

The two also served as playing-coaches in the PBA. Jaworski won championships as playing-coach of Ginebra while Pacquiao serves as a player and coach for expansion team Kia.

“In Manny’s case excellence and it should be in every Filipino,” Jaworski told ANC’s Dyan Castillejo.
