Muhammad Ali is ‘Team Pacquiao all the way’

Muhammad Ali, arguably the greatest boxer of all time l, is rooting for Manny Pacquiao against Floyd Mayweather Jr. on May 2.

Rasheda Ali told TMZ Sports that her father and former heavyweight champion is “Team Pacquiao all the way.”

“My dad really likes Manny. He’s a huge fan of his,” Rasheda said.

More than Pacquiao’s accomplishment inside the ring, it is the Filipino boxing champion’s work outside that has impressed Ali the most, according to Rasheda.

“He knows Manny’s a great fighter … but it’s more about what he does outside the ring. He’s such a charitable person.”

Rasheda, though, added that her father won’t be watching the fight live at the MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas but “won’t miss it for the world.”

“There’s no question he’s going to order it [pay-per-view]. It takes my dad way back to when he was fighting.”

She also added the Filipino ring superstar and her father have been friends for years and Pacquiao even attended Ali’s 70th birthday celebration three years ago. CC
