Pido Jarencio has been reappointed as head coach of the Globalport Batang Pier.
Globalport team manager Bonnie Tan said Jarencio will man the Batang Pier sidelines in the Governors’ Cup with Eric Gonzales, who replaced Jarencio for two conferences, back as his lead assistant.
Jarencio, a champion coach with the University of Santo Tomas in the UAAP, took over the Batang Pier’s coaching duties for one season before being relegated as the team’s consultant.

The coaching shakeup doesn’t appear to be the last move by Globalport before the Commissioner’s Cup ends with a blockbuster trade brewing.
In a report from Philippine Daily Inquirer, the Batang Pier management is reportedly “working on a deal” that would send its star rookie Stanley Pringle for Ginebra’s veteran playmaker LA Tenorio.
