HBO Sports is set to unleash the ultimate hype machine for the mega fight between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. as they start the production of the one-hour special “Mayweather/Pacquiao: At Last.”
In a statement, HBO said “At Last” will debut on April 18 in the United States with actor Liev Schreiber (X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Salt) narrating the documentary which details Pacquiao’s stellar career and his journey to this historic bout.
“This is the mega fight fans have been anticipating for many years, and we are thrilled to chronicle Manny Pacquiao’s path to this defining moment in his career,” HBO Sports Executive Producer Rick Bernstein said.
Pacquiao is set to face Mayweather on May 3 (Manila time) at MGM Grand Garden Arena to unify the WBA, WBO, and WBC Welterweight Championships and settle a five-year beef that will determine who is the best boxer of their generation.
“This special will provide viewers with a narrative of how this fight came to be and spotlight Team Pacquiao’s preparations heading into the biggest challenge Manny has confronted in the ring.”
“It will be a terrific primer for any viewer eager to go behind the scenes in the lead-up to May 2.”
HBO has been broadcasting the fights of Manny Pacquiao for several years already. IDL
