After recurring reports of Manny Pacquiao’s problems with leg cramps, his strength and conditioning coach said that everything is normal.

In an interview with Philboxing.com, Justin Fortune said Pacquiao has done well with his  leg training at University of California at Los Angeles.

“We’ve just turned a page in Manny’s training regimen and next week we will be going into the next page of the program,” Fotune said in the report. “Meaning Manny had just passed the toughest test in his conditioning phase of preparations and he’s ready to proceed to the lighter and easier routine.”

Pacquiao runs UCLA’s track oval and climbs up and down its 82-step bleachers during his training to prepare for his welterweight unification fight on May 2 against Floyd Mayweather Jr. at MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Fortune said he and Pacquiao visits the UCLA campus every Wednesday and goes to Griffith Park everyMonday and Friday.

He admitted that Pacquiao has struggled during the training but “that’s natural or a man in a hurry to finish a job like Manny’s attempt put to himself in competitive form as soon as he wishes. But you can’t do that that way. He’s very anxious and I like that as a sign that he’s really determined and dedicated to reach his target.”
