Splendido Ladies Invt’l fires off Wednesday

/ 12:05 AM April 07, 2015

Thailand’s Amolkin Phalajivin opens defense of her ICTSI Splendido Ladies Invitational title starting tomorrow against a field that includes familiar tormentor Cyna Rodriguez.

Amolkin ruled this tournament in Tagaytay last year, becoming the first foreigner to win on tour.

Though she will be coming off a disappointing stint in the Ladies Open at Southlinks a couple of weeks back, Amolkin is still installed as one of the title favorites in the P500,000 event.

Rodriguez, the winner of the first two Order of Merit titles, is the highest ranked Filipino pro in the field in the absence of Dottie Ardina, Mia Piccio and Jennifer Rosales, who all played at Southlinks.

Jayvie Agojo, Anya Tanpinco, Lovelyn Guioguio and Chihiro Ikeda are the other notable local players entered even as organizers are awaiting confirmation from six m ore players coming from Thailand.

Agojo has one tour win and is itching to win again. Musong R.Castillo
