Pacquiao’s health has been a priority for his team especially when the eight-division World Champion missed two days of practice while he was preparing for his rematch against Timothy Bradley in 2014 for the WBO Welterweight Champion, a title he ultimately regained.

His team wants Pacquiao to be in tiptop health free of sickness and injury.

This oncoming fight, however, is against a different opponent, a more dangerous opponent.

On May 2, Pacquiao will finally face Floyd Mayweather Jr., at MGM Granden Arena to unify the WBO, WBC, and WBA Welterweight Titles and finally see who the best boxer of the era is.

Apart from keeping Pacquiao healthy, trainer Freddie Roach wants the Pacman to slow down on his training to prevent over fatigue.

“I think they are shocked at how far ahead he is in terms of conditioning, and I think it’s a concern now that he overtrains.” CC
