Team HKS makes presence felt
MANILA, Philippines—Team HKS Super Oil is starting to flex its muscles in the local racing scene, as its drivers have cornered huge victories and stamped their class their respective divisions.
In the recent Philippine GT Race series, Marc Thomann spearheaded the HKS charge by nailing a runaway victory in GT 100 while Dean Joson took the GT 130 and first runner-up in the overall class.
Kevin and Arnel Carlos, meanwhile, battling for the champion trophy in the GT 200 class. Also coming up with solid performances were Willie Torre and Enteng Florendo, champion of the GT 300 and overall class.
Article continues after this advertisementTeam HKS Super Oil also lists in its roster of drivers Paolo Mantolino, Rafael La ’O, Jeff Roxas-Chua, Wesley Tsai, John Pacres, Ferdinand Sia and Team DGL headed by Mato Tan.
In the Philippine Autocross Series, the team is represented by Philip Albar, Patrick Bautista, Danby Yaptinchay, Dominic Ochoa, Mato Tan and Mike San Miguel.
HKS Super Oil has also entered into a partnership with PDRF Nonoy Jarlego Cup and on Oct. 15, it will parade Anthony Go, who walked away with the Pro Class Champion trophy it the 1320 Drag Shoot out and Jonathan Tiu, the fastest Filipino on the drag strip.
