Actor David Hasselhoff sees Floyd Mayweather Jr. keeping his perfect record against his toughest opponent yet in Manny Pacquiao on May 2.
The former Baywatch star Hasselhoff, though, also couldn’t help but marvel at the Filipino ring superstar.
“It’s so funny I did a commercial a long time ago with Sugar Ray Leonard and he said, ‘you know I’m not the best boxer in the world but I just know how to win and he was a pure boxer and I think that’s what Mayweather’s got,” Hasselhoff said in a video posted by The Post Game on YouTube, referring to one of the legends in the sport who was also a five-division world champion like Mayweather during his heyday in the 80s.
“I don’t know. I’m leaning towards decision. I don’t know. I gotta watch the training today and see what’s going on. Everybody’s leaning towards him [Mayweather] and I gotta go that way too but I love Manny’s guts and I love that he’s fast,” said Hasselhoff.
The 62-year-old Hasselhoff showed his support for the pound-for-pound king during his media day Wednesday morning in Manila at the Mayweather Boxing Club near the faux Chinatown area in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“I’m just here to support because it’s my day off. I just came to see boxing. I just wanna see a good, good pure fight and it’s gonna be entertaining.”
Mayweather’s open workout is his last public appearance before locking down his gym as he continues his arduous training for his showdown with Pacquiao which is just a little over two weeks away.
