LAS VEGAS–Manny Pacquiao said he hopes to use his megafight against Floyd Mayweather Jr. to inspire people to rise out of the darkest chapters of their lives through God and achieve their own success.

“This is more than a fight. I want to use this fight as a way to share my faith with Floyd and talk with him about how we can be an inspiration to children,” Pacquiao said during Wednesday’s final press conference for what has been billed as the richest fight in decades.

“More than winning fight, I wanna prove that God can make something out of nothing,” added Pacquiao, who battles Mayweather on May 2 at MGM Grand Garden Arena here.

“I want to be an inspiration to everyone, that a boy who had no slippers and slept on the streets could reach this level,” Pacquiao added.

After the press conference, the two fighters did the traditional pose in front of photographers.

There was no trash talking between the protagonists and both spoke with respect about the other.

Trainer Freddie Roach, however, guaranteed a Pacquiao victory on Saturday.

During the ceremonial posing, meanwhile, members of The Money Team, Mayweather’s posse, kept yelling, “you gonna knock him out champ!”
