Japan decimates Maldives to open U23 Asian Volleyball campaign
It was a show of true mastery as Japan annihilated Maldives, 25-4, 25-11, 25-3, in the preliminaries of Group C at the 2015 U23 Asian Women’s Volleyball Championship Friday evening at the Philsports Arena.
Maldives could not get into any groove against Group C’s top seed as the Japanese cruised in the easy opener.
Japan’s only hiccup was the second set but they followed it up with a destruction in the final set.
Namba Miku led Japan with 13 points while Sakamoto Nanaka had 10.
Maldives only had four players that put up points and they combined for seven.
Japan had 11 errors which meant 11 free points for Maldives.
