That’s a wrap.
Gilas Pilipinas cadets came to Singapore and picked apart the host team, 82-57, to sweep the 11th Southeast Asian Basketball Association and take the title Friday evening at OCBC Arena.
Marcus Douthit, the only player in the Philippine roster above 30-years-old, had his first significant game in the tournament as he finished with 16 points and seven rebounds as the Philippines went a perfect 5-0.
Kiefer Ravena and Jiovani Jalalon added a combined 27 points as the Philippines clinched a slot for the Fiba-Asia Championship as a bonus for winning the title.
