HOLLYWOOD — Outspoken trainer Floyd Mayweather Sr. did not have anything good to say about Manny Pacquiao’s performance against his son Floyd Mayweather Jr. on Saturday night.
Mayweather said Pacquiao committed too many mistakes and fought a “terrible” fight in a unanimous decision loss.

“So many mistakes,” he pointed out. “One thing, he was wild all night, throwing wild ass punches.”
“I never saw him throw a straight punch. Manny looked terrible and I’m being honest with you.”
Pacquiao is known for being a volume puncher, but Mayweather said he didn’t see that kind of Pacquiao everyone was talking about.
“They were telling me that on TV Roy Jones and Tyson saying Pacquiao will be throwing a thousand punches a round. How in the hell Floyd can get away with him throwing that many punches. I didn’t see a thousand, I didn’t see 500, I didn’t see 100 punches a round.”
Punch stats, which created a stir online, also showed Mayweather threw and landed more punches than Pacquiao.

The 62-year-old Mayweather also believes Pacquiao should avoid fighting boxers like his son, who is “too seasoned” for him.
“He can’t fight nobody better than Floyd.”

The rhyme-spewing Mayweather has been in a verbal war with Pacquiao’s Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach and the yapping between the two veteran cornermen is still on.
