Sarangani representative and boxing icon Manny Pacquiao is headed back to the Philippines with his family, more than a week after suffering a loss via unanimous decision to American Floyd Mayweather Jr. in Las Vegas.

Pacquiao posted a photo of him, his wife Jinkee and their children Michael, Jimwell, Princess, Queenie and Israel on Facebook with the caption “Preparing for departure back to the Philippines.”

In the photo, Pacquiao is seen wearing a sling for his injured shoulder.

Within an hour, the photo already received hundreds of thousands of likes and almost a thousand shares.

Fans of the People’s Champ wished him and his family a safe trip. Many expressed admiration for Pacquiao despite his loss. Others asked for a rematch.

Pacquiao is scheduled to arrive in Manila on Wednesday morning.

A motorcade, starting at 9 a.m., will be held in his honor. KS/IDL
