Amidst the trade rumors about him, Marcio Lassiter is still glad that he’s still with San Miguel.
And he proved it to his team by delivering solid numbers on Sunday for the Beermen’s second straight win.
Lassiter sizzled with 24 points, on 9-of-14 shooting as he helped San Miguel whip Globalport, 124-102.

“I’m here for the team. It wasn’t about proving anything wrong. Today, I was just aggressive, I shot the ball and it went in,” Lassiter said. “We all talked about it. All our players and coaches have trust in me. We know what to do and that’s to keep playing. I’m glad to be a part of our team right now.”
Rumors circulated that Lassiter would be shipped to Ginebra in a three-way trade with Barako Bull that would send JC Intal to the Beermen and Mac Baracael to the Energy.
“I’m just playing my game and doing what I can do with my capabilities. My teammates have full confidence in me.”
Head coach Leo Austria for his part said that Lassiter “is not the player you want to be traded.” CC
