This was the guarded assessment of Association of Boxing Alliances of the Philippines (Abap) executive director Ed Picson yesterday on the coming campaign of the highly regarded national boxers in the 28th Southeast Asian Games starting June 5 in Singapore.
“I’d be a fool to guarantee gold medals or even one,” Picson said during the Philippine Sportswriters Association forum backed by Accel and Pagcor at Shakey’s Malate. “We have 10 boxers, so we have 10 chances. We cannot say if we can win three, five or eight.” June Navarro
