NU Pep Squad 3rd in World Championship
THE NATIONAL University Pep Squad bagged the bronze medal in the Co-Ed Elite division of the ICU Cheerleading World Championships at Disney World in Orlando, Florida, recently.
The Filipinos bested all but two of the teams with their bone-bending gymnastics and high level of difficulty in the competition that drew entries from 20 countries.
The annual event hosted by the International Cheer Union (ICU) held competitions in eight categories.

“This is the mecca and Olympics of cheerleading,” said NU coach Gabriel Bajacan.
Miriam High School’s Team Sayawatha also nailed the bronze in Hip Hop Cheer.
