For the past year, Glenn Khobuntin has been trying to prove himself to the public that he can keep up with the big guys.
May it be with the National University Bulldogs or in the PBA D-League, he has always carried that chip on his shoulder.
And on Monday, Khobuntin led the all-out attack for the Giants, scoring 13 points and hauling down eight rebounds in the 87-83 Jumbo Plastic win over Hapee.

“Kailangan naming mag-step up eh. Ayaw naming ito na yung maging last game namin,” he said.
(We need to step up. We don’t want this to be our last game.)
As the fifth-seed, the Giants neutralized the twice-to-beat advantage owned by the Fresh Fighters and forced a do-or-die game set on Thursday.
Khobuntin admits that being the underdog has helped them this conference as Jumbo Plastic is motivated to prove that it can hang with the big boys.
The Giants were the fourth-seed last conference but got eliminated by Cebuana Lhuillier in the quarterfinals series.
And Khobuntin doesn’t want that to happen once again.
“Last conference, kinuha nila ako pero natalo kami. Kailangan ko ring bumawi at ipakitang kaya ko rin manalo,” he said.
