SEA Games: Inverted flag in PH athletes’ uniforms a ‘supplier mistake’
Athletics chief Philip Juico cleared the talk surrounding the inverted Philippine flag on the uniforms of Filipino sprinters Eric Cray and Kayla Richardson during Tuesday’s 100-meter competitions in the Southeast Asian Games, saying it was just a mistake by the supplier.
Juico said that the inverted flag with the red portion of it above the blue one is a mistake made by the uniform supplier which has already been fixed.

“The inverted Philippine flag is a supplier error which has been corrected. We are also asking the supplier to publicly explain this lapse,” Juico said in a statement Wednesday. “This minor lapse should not however diminish the fact that our athletics team is performing in an outstanding manner and is doing the country proud.”
