After Floyd Mayweather Jr. issued a challenge to Oscar De La Hoya, the Golden Boy was quick to reject the idea.
De La Hoya in an Instagram video said he will not come out of retirement to fulfill Mayweather’s desire to fight him in September.

“Look, I’m retired, I’m happy, I’m content. I’m never coming back. I’m gonna continue growing Golden Boy,” De La Hoya said in the video Thursday (Manila time).
Mayweather earlier said he wants to fight De La Hoya if the boxing promoter comes out of retirement.

Back in 2007, De La Hoya fought Mayweather and lost in a close split decision.
They had a rematch clause in the contract that would expire within a year, but Mayweather retired in 2008 which nulled the clause.
