Top schools join taekwondo tilt

TWELVE matches will kick off the 2015 SMART/MVP Sports Foundation Philippine Taekwondo League starting today at SM Fairview.

The competition, which will be staged in different SM Supermalls nationwide until November, is supported by PLDT, Meralco, Philippine Sports Commission and the Philippine Olympic Committee.

The opening matches pit San Sebastian against Mapua, UP against San Beda, Ateneo against SSR, Lyceum against San Beda, Mapua against Ateneo and Lyceum against St. Benilde in senior men’s division and Arellano against UP, Letran against FEU, San Beda against Arellano, FEU against Ateneo, UP against San Beda and Ateneo against Letran in the senior women’s group.

The tournament commissioner is Monsour del Rosario while tournament director is Stephen Fernandez.
