Rousey wins Best Fighter ESPY, takes jab at Mayweather

For the 2015 ESPY Awards, there were five nominees for the Best Fighter Award.

Ronda Rousey was the only female candidate and she beat UFC fighter Donald Cerrone, boxers Gennady Golovkin, Terrence Crawford and the sporting world’s favorite heel Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Upon winning the award, the UFC Women’s bantamweight champion took a jab at Mayweather.

“I can’t help but really say that I wonder how Floyd [Mayweather] feels being beat by a woman for once,” Rousey said during the red carpet ceremonies. “I’d like to see you pretend to not know who I am now.”

Mayweather once said in an interview he doesn’t know Rousey, well the UFC champion may now be on Money’s radar after an ESPY-worthy burn.

Also, the pound-for-pound king’s domestic abuse case have been well-documented including his jail stint.

Rousey also won the Best Female Athlete ESPY over Serena Williams, skier Lindsey Vonn, and three-time NCAA Champion Breanna Stewart of University of Connecticut.
