Terrence Romeo believes team will fare better in Fiba 3X3
For Terrence Romeo, experience should be the key for the Philippines as it once again joins the 2015 FIBA 3×3 World Tour.
“Having chemistry is an edge. It’s a big advantage compared to those who had only a short time to prepare, especially since strong teams will be playing here,” he said.

“If it’s height, we’re already down. But it’s our quickness and chemistry which will be the difference. Our outside shots just have to fall down,” said the GlobalPort guard, reminiscing the missed chance the team had in the World Tour Finals.
“In our game against Bucharest, if we just got through, we might have played in the semis. We just wish that we get past our finish last year in Sendai.”

However, replicating the Manila leg conquest won’t be that easy this time out, as former champs Novi Sad and Ljubljana, as well as Doha, will be seeing action in Aug. 1 and 2 at Robinsons Ermita.
Romeo knows that the Philippines can’t bring less than their A-game against these teams, and is hoping that the homecourt advantage will be a factor in the upcoming tournament.
“The team should be more competitive and we really need to be prepared, bring our best in every game,” he said. “We won’t give up whatever happens. We’re just positive and we’ll be fighting for our home fans.”
