Aguilar to miss Gilas duties after surgery to fix broken pinky

And the bad news just keep on coming for the Gilas Pilipinas.

Japeth Aguilar went under the knife to fix his broken left pinky two weeks ago, which would sideline him for at least 12 weeks.

“He’s been playing through it since last season,” player agent Marvin Espiritu, who also posted a photo of Aguilar’s pinky on his Instagram account, said.

Aguilar’s three-month recovery time rules him out of national duty, which the latest of the setbacks for Tab Baldwin-led squad which will see action in the 2015 Fiba Asia Championship in Changsha, China in September.
