“I’m very happy to still be part of Rain or Shine and play under coach Yeng (Guiao),” Chan told INQUIRER.net. “They have been very good to me so I didn’t have any problems with staying.”
“I’m very excited for the coming season also. I think it’s been three years since our last championship and I’m hoping this year we will be better and we’ll get the championship,” Chan added.
The Elasto Painters’ only championship came in the 2012 PBA Governors’ Cup where Chan wound up as the Finals MVP.

Rain or Shine has been one of the most consistent franchises under head coach Yeng Guiao. Last season, the Painters made the semifinals of the Philippine Cup and Governors’ Cup and the Finals of the Commissioner’s Cup.
With Chan staying put, Rain or Shine is sure to be among the league’s contenders in the coming season. CFC
