June Mar Fajardo has been called up to the Gilas Pilipinas squad anew, but the PBA reigning MVP won’t be around for the pool’s training on Monday night.
Fajardo, who is dealing with plantar fasciitis on both feet, said in a text message to INQUIRER.net that his feet were still “hurting.”

The 6-foot-10 giant is still in his hometown Cebu where he chose to spend his first taste of vacation since his San Miguel Beermen won the PBA Governors’ Cup crown two weeks ago.
Fajardo is part of national team head coach Tab Baldwin’s wishlist for training pool from which the line-up for the 2015 Fiba Asia Championships will come from.
According to reports, all 16 players on the list have been given the green light by their respective mother clubs to join Gilas Pilipinas.
Fajardo has not ruled out rejoining the national team but earlier mentioned that he wanted to rest after a grueling PBA season.

Gilas Pilipinas kicked off their buildup for the Asian qualifiers with a low-key workout last week but will hold its first training since the announcement of the pool Monday night at Meralco Gym.
Fajardo saw limited minutes in the 2013 Fiba Asia Championships where the Philippines won silver and earned a ticket to the Basketball World Cup the following year.
