China boasts ability of hosting big events in Fiba World Cup bid
A presentation banked on the ability of hosting big events was the thrust of China’s bid to the FIBA Central Board on Friday.
Showing the successful events hosted by the country, China is eyeing eight cities to host the games for the 2019 FIBA World Cup and believes it has a strong chance of convincing the panel to award the rights to them.
Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Suzhou, Foshan, Wuhan, Donguan are the eight cities where the competitions will take place, as the country also boasted its infrastructures, modern transportation, and ability to host big events in the presentation.
Also part of the China’s bid were Chinese basketball legend Yao Ming and former NBA star Stephon Marbury.
“China never, never lets you down,” assured CBA President Yu Zaiging. IDL
