Khan wants fight with Pacquiao

01:59 AM August 14, 2015

Briton Amir Khan will fight Manny Pacquiao anywhere the Filipino superstar wants.

And Khan believes the fight will happen, just like promoter Bob Arum.

“Yes, I think the fight can happen,” Khan told Sports Tonight show on Dubai Eye 103.8. “If it makes sense financially for both of us, then I think the fight will definitely take place.”

Arum said he will meet with Khan’s representatives to try to forge a deal.

If ever, however, the duel between the former stablemates is held outside the United States, Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates can stage it, according to Arum.

“I think it makes sense for both of us to take it,” added Khan, who was snubbed by Floyd Mayweather Jr. in favor of Andre Berto for the undefeated American’s “final fight” on Sept. 12. “Manny Pacquiao and I used to train together and we had the same trainer, Freddie Roach, so we know a lot about each other.”

Khan added: “Fighting-style wise, Manny wasn’t at his best against a defensive Mayweather, but with me I’m a totally different fighter. We both like to fight, move and both have tremendous hand speed.” Roy Luarca
